After only a month or so of using the standard wordpress blog, I’ve decided to move to my own host: betterthanblank.org (sitll using wordpress). Of course this brings up a whole new set of challenges (like why does my “recent comments” sidebar look so bad? – if anyone knows, please let me know how to fix it). Anyway, I’m not going to officially move the blog until I get all the kinks worked out. Go check it out and let me know what you think. And any of you pro bloggers, if you have any advice on how to move and keep things going strong, I’d love to know!
Once again here is the new blog: betterthanblank.org
If you have subscribed to this blog, please go on over to our new digs and subscribe there – I am not smart enough to know how to automatically do it for ya.

I’ve got an Amazon gift certificate burning holes in my pocket,
and I want to get the most bang for my buck.
Enter the Secret Amazon Web Pages:
http://tinyurl.com/38sojf
This is where you’re going to find the “latest sales, rebates, and limited-time offers” from
Amazon, and you can score some pretty deep discounts if you’re a savvy shopper.
Next, there’s the special Sale link. This is open every Friday, and ONLY on Fridays.
You can find the same good discounts here as you would in hidden Deals, although some
Fridays you can really get lucky and make off like an Amazon bandit – I’ve seen discounts
there as low as 75% off sticker price.

Pastor Alex,
For weeks I have hesitated to write to you but my wife keeps encouraging it and after last week I feel the time is right. I don’t want to come across as being too critical but the music “worship” is really loud. The volume of the instruments drowns out the sound of the voices and the reverb is much too high. I am 44 years old and have been playing since I was 12 and worked with sound acoustics for 6 years. The bass and volume is at such a level that it is physically painful to some. It has gotten to the point that I want to wait to come into church until the music is finished. Sorry, but thought you should know.
