It’s official: I’m moving

After only a month or so of using the standard wordpress blog, I’ve decided to move to my own host: betterthanblank.org (sitll using wordpress). Of course this brings up a whole new set of challenges (like why does my “recent comments” sidebar look so bad? – if anyone knows, please let me know how to fix it). Anyway, I’m not going to officially move the blog until I get all the kinks worked out. Go check it out and let me know what you think. And any of you pro bloggers, if you have any advice on how to move and keep things going strong, I’d love to know!

Well this will totally ruin my small picture motif I have going on here, but I found this great project that I want to be a part of. Open Source: Free & Legal

I just got inspired by watching a CNET video (if you don’t know what that is, you need to get with it here). This particular video had a great list of open source programs to replace the new Adobe CS3 Suite. So I thought I would be a nice guy and list out as many cool open source programs as possible, as well as other cool, fun, & productive sites & programs – a resource page! The Hubble Space Telescope vs. New James Webb Space Telescope

Here’s a really interesting article on the new space telescope set to go up in 2013. Over the past couple years, I have enjoyed visiting the Hubble site and checking out all the high-res images of it’s deep space photos – they are pretty impressive. Looks like this new telescope may allows us to look even deeper into space and get a closer view of some of these incredible stars & galaxies that are billions of miles away.

Free Vectors: Vecteezy.com

Here’s a great site for all you graphic designers – free vector art (we all know how hard it is to get your hands on that!). Vecteezy.com is a new sister site of Brusheezy.com – a free Photoshop Brush site, there’s another tip. Have fun designing!

Worship Leading Essentials

The guys over at www.worshippl.us have put up a “Worship Leading Essentials” list with some really great links and articles. I am making my way through them as we speak, but it looks right on. The first one deals with Life Journaling, which I have just started this year, and while consistency is the key, I have been really encouraged by it and it is becoming a habit that I don’t want to break.
